W Howard Timber Limited was founded as a traditional Timber Merchant serving the local house building and construction industries in the North West in 1958 by Mr William Howard.
In 1969 the company was bought by Mr Alan Grant, who continued to trade in the same sector until 1995, when he and our current Managing Director, Mr Jonathan Grant, decided to invest in plant to manufacture and distribute primed MDF mouldings.
W Howard is now one of the market leaders of MDF Moulding, with turnover exceeding £12 million as of the end of 2006, and has in excess of 90 staff, a far cry from the 16 when the first manufacturing line was installed!
W Howard now proudly boasts many blue chip companies within the merchanting and specialist manufacturing customer base and will continue to support the industry that gave it a chance.
